Title: Lower Level Help Nights (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
Post by: Holocaust on July 09, 2006, 05:22:11 pm
Post where you need help (instance, elite quest, hard quest).  Please let us know which night you would like the help (Tuesday or Thursday).

Higher levels post if you will be on and your willingness to help please.

NOTE: All irrelevant posts will be deleted per week.  Keep the chatter to a minimum, only post where you need the help and whether you will be there to help.

Scheduled Lower Level Help Nights
Who:  Anyone less than 60.
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays
Start: Earlier the better (Instances should start before 8pm CST)
Where: Anywhere

Note: We will not help you grind normal quests you can do on your own, this is to help you clear your quest log of quests you are unable to complete on your own.

Certain people work on getting rep up with Timbermaw now (I know Tim\Emasid does). It might be a good idea to find out who needs rep with them and group according to that. Currently, I've been working on Rep with the Thorium Brotherhood, Frost Wolf Clan and Argent Dawn. It would probably be best to group accordingly.

So Thursday can I get some people to run me though Sunken Temple? I am going to collect all the quests I can for it tonight and tommorow, maybe (probablly not) get to 52. But I think ST is the last dungeon I need to go though before I start hitting up blackrock over and over to try and get my phat gear. I don't know if anybody else needs to go though ST or how many people you think it will take. I will leave that up to someone who has been there before.

Two things:

1. I'll be available tonight to help out. I can call SM and BFD, and at least run along on just about anything else. I ain't doing your work for you though, kids. Get your groups together, gimme a whisper, and if it's early enough, I'll tag along. I wont be joining any instances after about 10PM EST 9 CST.

2. Just to clarify and consolidate, need an admin to possibly remove the lower level instance run topic.

I know I'm not lower level, but I wouldnt mind taking some 55+'s through BRD or LBRS.

just to make things clear, at what point at are you calling instances lower level...lbrs/brd and down?

I would say less than UBRS.  But the defining quality of this movement is to help out people that are less than 60.

Impressions...

I, for my part, was able to help Rasharah, (or was it Jenazeel? I can never remember which char Sarah is on,) through Stromgarde. The response to the ST run was so enthusiastic that I thought we were gonna have two concurrent runs. The only thing people didn't want to do was BRD, which, honestly, is understandable. The place is a nightmare.

I was disappointed in the lack of attendance by sub level 50 guild members. I don't know if this is an indication that people aren't reading the forums and MOTD (though admittedly, I didn't change the MOTD until early this evening,) or if a good chunk of our membership just doesn't give a damn. Either way, for these assitance days to work, and even just be practical, we have to have higher attendance.

Aside from that though, ups to the 55+'s for doing your parts. Hopefully we'll see a little more action on Thursday.

And finally, answering the postings above by Jeff and Brandon, I agree. LBRS and on down should be considered low level. I think (going on memory here,) we have a big concentration of players in the 30s and 40s. So I'd be prepared for a lot of RFK, Gnomer, RFD, Mara, and Ulda.

Myself, Gerudox, Mitheras, Dstealth, and Dimrod beatdown ST like an unloved stepchild.  Unfortunately we didn't have time to finish it.  Considering we only had 2 people in the group above 53, and no mage/rogue for DPS, I was surprised at how thoroughly we rocked the first half.

Yeah, it was a great run. We only had 1 death and it was because of lag(its allways the lag) I think I did the best gearwise. But that is probablly just cause I had crappy gear before. I hope people are still up for Thursday running the other part of it. We just need to remmember to load up on water, or bring a mage. :-P

Can everybody start a little earlier Thursday. It will be better because we already have the quests. But I am really tired today.

Damn you WOW. Damn you.

Yeah, I'll run Thursday. And yes... this goes for higher level runs too. We HAVE to start running earlier. This up til 3 AM stuff is really wearing some of us down. ;)

This from one of the people who's usually offline and asleep before me? :p

Anyway, today is Thursday kids. Another lowbie help night. There's already an ST run scheduled, and there may be another in the works. The first run's got a full roster as far as I know, I think Jaf is leading it.

If you need help with a level 59 quest or less, or need to run an instance, LBRS or lower, (excepting BRD, unless we start really early,) you need to post to this topic, ASAP, and get a hold of some people online.

We 60s are NOT gonna do your work for you, kids. YOU need to assemble your groups, and you need to come to us for help. We won't be sitting in channel all evening saying "Does anyone need help?" If we're not asked to do something, we will evenetually form a high level instance group, and we won't be breaking that.

So in short, start asking for help loudly and frequently, starting now. Good luck on your runs!

*EDIT* I ran WC, and then called a RFC run last night. That means I'm exempt, right?  :-P

I always have trouble finding the flight master in UC, can you help me with that? Also I might be moving in a few weeks, it is a lvl 45 elite quest, can I get some help with that one?
Title: Re: Lower Level Help Nights (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
Post by: Zazzog on July 13, 2006, 09:22:33 am
Sure, why not?

The FP in UC is in the sewers. make sure you dive into that green goo, he's hiding under there, somewheres...

As for the elite quest, I'll need to be paid travel (that's about 2500g, $500USD,) and I will need a steady supply of drink to keep my mana up (Yuengling or Labatt, Honey Brown or some other dark lager would do in a pinch.)

I have to do a few things tonight, I'll be on later around 8 CST, might be on earlier but not long enough to start something. I talked with Hlga last night and she would be down with running ST with us tonight and has 2 53 hunters that she normally runs with that would like to come. If they like it, they may switch over to oue guild. But I don't know if I can run anything tonight, a few things came up that I wasn't expecting.

Another good night kids, finished two instances for 4 people. Not bad at all.

Again, I'm concerned about our attendance rates, but last night was better than last Tuesday.

To the lower levels: You guys (and I know some of you already do it,) should prolly start planning a little more ahead for this stuff. If you're wanting to run on a Tuesday night, start planning for it Sunday night.

To the high levels: It occurred to me while in ST last night, which Jaf was calling, that this can be a learning experience for us, too. I know Tim, JB, and Drew all have experience running and calling an instance group. For those of us who don't though, it may be an excellent way to learn. If someone who has a lot of leadership experience is in a group with someone who does not, maybe they should defer, and make the person with less experience the group leader, and be there for advice. Just a thought.

All that said, ups to everyone for another fun night! :-)

Allrighty kids, it's tuesday again so post if you want some lower level runs!

If nothing else gets schedualed, I know Jana (toten) needs ST and I'm sure a few other ppl do cause we didn't make it incredibly far last tuesday.

I did ST 3 times last week... count me out.  But if there's time I'd do a BRD run, I still need attuned.

Ran it twice last week, but if I don't see anything else coming down the pike, I guess I'm in.

I'm kinda with Jaf though, if there's a BRD run, and it's starting early enough, I could be convinced to do that.

In game, the new kid, Shutruh (is that his name, I know it begins with Shut,) Dim, and Tak have all expressed an interest in BRD. Also, with Randy having just invited Brentasaurus back, we should have at LEAST 2, maybe 4 tanks available for runs tonight.

So right now, I'm thinking we're doing concurrent BRD and ST. Am I about right?

I still need to finish up ST and BRD.  I am definately buying some more ice spells after the first BRD run hehe...I'm way to cheap to buy spells until I ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO HAVE THEM.  Im not so concerned with ST but I do need to do my mage quest there, it would be icing on the cake to get the last few quests done there while I can still get xp for turning them in.

Im generally home from work around 8:00pm CST (assuming we dont have an emergency walk-in right at close, then all bets are off) so lets get something rollin this week ok!

I put this in the Faction Grinding thread but am repostin here so all you low level guys in the BRD range can know.  I starting my grind to Revered with Thorium Brotherhood, once there I will be able to forge some pretty essential weapons for the guild.  As such I am dedicating the following day and times to BRD runs until I get Revered:

Thursdays from 3pm to 7pm CST (1pm to 5pm Server).

Given my shitty work schedule and (pathetic) social life I may not be able to make EVERY Thursday, but I will post here if I cannot.  Send me a PM on the forums so I can know who I am supposed to have on any given Thursday and save you a slot ( otherwise I'm gonna start a PUG as soon as I log).  My only request is that you give me a fair chance to roll on/buy all the Dark Iron Ore/Residue we come across, as it is essential to my making Revered.  Hope to see you guys soon.

EDIT:  Just researchewd a little bit and found out that residue is no longer applicable, so I only need the following for turn ins to Revered:

Dark Iron Ore
Lava Core
Blood Of The Mountain
Core Leather

It's not worth it, considering that you'll get a better trinket than the quest reward within a couple levels anyway.

While I'm thinking about it, too... have you raided the bank for BoE Magister's gear yet? I know there's some sitting in there.

So I need to start doing Scholo/Strat/LBRS trying to find the next magisters piece.  This Tues isnt lookin so hot for me, my work sched is MESSED UP right now due to an employee being on extreme probation  at work.  But I'm really up for doing any of these anytime I'm on and theres a group needing to go.  I also know that Faw and Jess need to do Scholo as well.

And someone else besides me needs to post here cause I don't plan on being 59 for long!

Scholo/Strat aren't considered low, so you can get a run whenever you want. but *I'VE* got first dibs on magisters pieces that drop out of Scholo/Strat. :-D
