Somehow, I doubt you truly comprehend who you'll be dealing with, here.

At any rate, happy birthday, man!

I'll likely show up for at least a few hours, as I've never been to Quakecon. But, for me, BYOC is impractical, and useless, anyway. I'm just not that good at games.

I'm glad to hear this is pretty much definite.

And yeah, Aaron, PLEASE keep your mage, and Stacy's warlock on Stonemaul.

Jana and I just quickly discussed it, and we found it ironic that just this weekend I said I was hoping that GPI would, in some capacity, reform when the expansion comes out.

I miss playing WoW with my friends. I'd definitely be in if that happened.

Course, I won't bring up that Conan appears to kick twenty kinds of ass, and might be a good stop gap once you guys are done with Sunwell, and looking for a new game to play...

Wow Chris.... geez.  Bad day much?

Oh Christ. He tweaked me, I was just returning the favor. Everyone knows I have all the respect in the world for Wes and what he does.

Hell, in some ways I'm jealous. I miss working in a small shop, sometimes.

Next time, you might consider getting a professional to build it.  (That's right.  A shot a Chris.  And it felt soooooo good)

*Yawn* Who works at the multi-million dollar coporation, administering in excess of 1700 domains again?

Who's building dink gaming machines again?

Yeah, I thought so.

By and large, I just want to agree with Eric on his points. Three exceptions though:

1. Cheaper labor DOES NOT always make for lower prices. In perfect economic theory it should, but it just doesn't always work out that way. A lot of the time you get the executives of a company giving themselves obscene raises on the backs of their cheap labor. I'm not saying this is the case all the time.

2. I was going to write something about immigration laws, but upon further review, I think we're mostly seeing eye-to-eye. That bears out if you're in agreement with Barrett, like I am.

3. Using your smoking in bars example, and I think it's a fine example, but I think the more realistic view is that it's not a question of you, the customer's, personal freedom, but the proprietor's. Even in Shawnee, a bar owner can choose to make his establishment smoking or non-smoking, (and accept the consequences or benefits of his actions.) You, entering into his establishment, have NO RIGHT, to dictate whether that should hold through or not. Not saying that the end result of the government regulating a smoking ban is any different, just wanted to clarify. Overall, once again, I see eye-to-eye with you.

On a side note, I always knew you were highly motivated, but I guess never realized what a good businessperson you'd become. Good on you. So let me ask you your opinion. Is the economy truly in the toilet? If so, why? It can't just be taxes, can it?

Brandon's dumb ass was supposed to call me and let me know when everything was going on. Weak.

No surprise, considering he didn't make Ghengis, and made it to Firewater just in time to hear the last half of the last song they played. :-P

They kicked ass, (as usual,) I got to watch Chris sprawl himself out on the floor and spill his beer, and a great time was had by all. Zack's girlfriend Jennifer got some pics, I think, maybe they can be convinced to post them.

Im sick of people thinking the "big business types" are the greatest evil in the world.  They are simply business people trying to succeed in life.  The true evil are these limp wristed liberals who want to slowly take our freedom bit by bit til there's nothing left to take.  And they do it in the name of "kindness" and "compassion", supposedly with the best intentions.  Do not be fooled by this bullshit.  Its all about control.  They control your money, they control your lives, they control your votes.

I know as well as anyone else that a business man's primary purpose in professional life is trying to make money. I have no issue with that, but I kinda see it the same as separation of church and state. Business has NO place in politics, and that's why I stand behind things like anti-lobbying laws, campaign funding reform, and the revocation of corporate person-hood. Business has no place in government, and vice versa, in a truly capitalist society. Yes, that means I'm against the Sherman Act, too.

And while I certainly agree with you regarding liberals, (taxation by democrat governors is LEGENDARY in NJ,) please do remember that we've lost more ground regarding our civil rights and freedom in the last 8 years, under a "republican," (I use the term loosely,) "conservative," (also loosely,) president, and for most of the time, a republican congress.

Neither side is ride, both are corrupt as hell. What we NEED is an outsider, someone who has not, and cannot, be influenced by the power games going on in DC. Sadly, I don't know if such a person exists.

Thats fucking retarded.   Just cuz I can trust a guy to stay with my fiance for a month doesn't mean he's worthy to lead the fucking nation.  Particularly not if he has whackjob views like Ron Paul or that fucking communist Obama.

The problem with Obama is that he talks big, but he hasn't the faintest fucking clue how he'll go about doing any of the shit he talks about.

He's basically running a warm-fuzzy-hippie-feel-good campaign. Hence why I didn't vote for him.

That being said, I'll take Obama's fuzzy-wuzzy bullshit over Hillary's PMRC, mandatory insurance, menopausal psychosis any day of the week.

As for Ron Paul... I gotta go with Brandon. For once, just once, I'd like a guy to be in office who'll do what he thinks is best, and what he thinks the public wants. I'm nearly at the point that I don't care if he's wrong or right, though I realize that position is untenable. I'm just sick of all the political animal, sucking the teet of big-business types.

hahaha perhaps we need an article with some topic to start us off better.

In that case, let's talk about what really got the whole thing started... Ron Paul.

Honestly, I think he's the only candidate who's being reasonably honest with his platform, despite the fact that he has some bizarro ideas.
