GPI News / Re: Lower Level Help Nights (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
« on: July 13, 2006, 08:39:42 am »
This from one of the people who's usually offline and asleep before me? :p

Anyway, today is Thursday kids. Another lowbie help night. There's already an ST run scheduled, and there may be another in the works. The first run's got a full roster as far as I know, I think Jaf is leading it.

If you need help with a level 59 quest or less, or need to run an instance, LBRS or lower, (excepting BRD, unless we start really early,) you need to post to this topic, ASAP, and get a hold of some people online.

We 60s are NOT gonna do your work for you, kids. YOU need to assemble your groups, and you need to come to us for help. We won't be sitting in channel all evening saying "Does anyone need help?" If we're not asked to do something, we will evenetually form a high level instance group, and we won't be breaking that.

So in short, start asking for help loudly and frequently, starting now. Good luck on your runs!

*EDIT* I ran WC, and then called a RFC run last night. That means I'm exempt, right?  :-P

As always, I'm up for UBRS, even if I'm just doing it for giggles now. I NEED Strat/Scholo, so I'll be crossing my fingers for them, but I'm down for whatever.

*EDIT* If I'm getting on the Onyxia key line, I'll need the first step, which is of course LBRS. Not sure how many other people need to do it, but we may need to think about going back to 5 manning LBRS for a while to get up to speed.

Reading the forums, I just had a daydream of running MC for the first time, 40 man, all GPI, at a LAN. God that would rock my face off. :p

Yeah, I'll run Thursday. And yes... this goes for higher level runs too. We HAVE to start running earlier. This up til 3 AM stuff is really wearing some of us down. ;)

GPI News / Faction Grinding
« on: July 12, 2006, 01:10:57 am »
Conrad brought up in another forum that faction grinding is something quite a few people need to think about now, whether they realize it or not. I know a few people are grinding various rep in their downtime in game, and if you want help with that, you should get together with them. Here's a partial list:

Zazzog/Chris - Not so much lately, but Argent Dawn, Timbermaw, Warsong Outriders (WSG PvP), Cenarion Circle, but that's just grinding for money, the rep is incidental.

Emasid/Tim - Timbermaw

Wakenbake/Drew - Argent Dawn, Timbermaw, Thorium Brotherhood, Frostwolf Clan (AV PvP)

Jaybee/JB - Argent Dawn, Timbermaw, Defilers (AB PvP), Frostwolf Clan (AV PvP)

Vacho/Barrett - Cenarion Circle

Guap/Trey - Argent Dawn

Latchton/Brandon - Cenarion Circle

Mitheras/Conrad - Cenarion Circle

Anyone else who's actively grinding rep, please post here with what you're grinding. And if anyone needs help with that particular faction, let the right person know. Rep grinding isn't such a bitch when you have a group to do it with.  :-D

*EDIT* I will be adding names to the above list as the info becomes available to me. A list of factions, where they are, and the rewards they give can be found here.

I, for my part, was able to help Rasharah, (or was it Jenazeel? I can never remember which char Sarah is on,) through Stromgarde. The response to the ST run was so enthusiastic that I thought we were gonna have two concurrent runs. The only thing people didn't want to do was BRD, which, honestly, is understandable. The place is a nightmare.

I was disappointed in the lack of attendance by sub level 50 guild members. I don't know if this is an indication that people aren't reading the forums and MOTD (though admittedly, I didn't change the MOTD until early this evening,) or if a good chunk of our membership just doesn't give a damn. Either way, for these assitance days to work, and even just be practical, we have to have higher attendance.

Aside from that though, ups to the 55+'s for doing your parts. Hopefully we'll see a little more action on Thursday.

And finally, answering the postings above by Jeff and Brandon, I agree. LBRS and on down should be considered low level. I think (going on memory here,) we have a big concentration of players in the 30s and 40s. So I'd be prepared for a lot of RFK, Gnomer, RFD, Mara, and Ulda.

Two things:

1. I'll be available tonight to help out. I can call SM and BFD, and at least run along on just about anything else. I ain't doing your work for you though, kids. Get your groups together, gimme a whisper, and if it's early enough, I'll tag along. I wont be joining any instances after about 10PM EST 9 CST.

2. Just to clarify and consolidate, need an admin to possibly remove the lower level instance run topic.
